The Best and The Worst of Clean Diaper Brands

I tried some of the most well known pure or “clean” diaper brands with my son so I could give you all the details on the pros and cons of each.

Today I am going to give you all the info on Pampers Pure, Hello Bello, Millie Moon, Thrive Market, and Honest Company. So let’s go ahead and get to the details.

Pampers Pure

Price:

• $27.50 for Small Box between 82-42 diapers per box depending on size
• $43 for Large Box between 132-72 diapers per box depending on size

Pampers have always been the most popular and talked about diaper brand, they are a true classic. With that being said I definitely have some cons to them.

Pros:

• Minimal Leaks: These diapers truly hold everything in and unless you are unable to change a diaper for a lengthy amount of time or your child just pees a literal gallon at a time you wont be cleaning up accidents.

Cons:

• Rough Texture: These have almost a cheap rough feel to them compared to most clean diaper brands and with one of the highest price tags I expect better to be on such a sensitive area of our children.
• Not the cleanest brand: While they are fragrance free and plant based, they do include vegetable oils and alcohols in the ingredients list.

Hello Bello

Price:

• $70 for a subscription of 224-119 diapers

I do believe these can be purchased at Walmart and Meijer as well but I was having a hard time finding exact pricing for these stores

Pros:

• Great price per diaper
• Extremely soft and flexible
• Adorable patterns
• Comes with wipes and 15% off additional items
• Convenience, comes directly to your door with whatever baby essentials you need.
• The box can be transformed into a imaginative play toy.

Cons:

I don’t know that I really have any, we switched my son out of these because I thought that were no longer fitting him properly but I think he just needed a smaller size. I plan to reactivate our subscription very soon.

Millie Moon

Price:

• $25 between 108-54 diapers per box depending on size

This is the brand we are currently using, the quality and price just work the best with us. With that being said, I do have some cons.

Pros:

• Price per diaper seems affordable
• Chlorine Free, fragrance free, latex free, lotion free
• Cruelty Free and Vegan
• They are extremely soft and moveable, this is especially important for a busy toddler.

Cons:

• Only sold at Target, now you can order them online but some people may not be interested in that.
• Sold out often, this shows how loved they are but if you can only get them one place and they are sold out in stores and online often, you will have no choice but to use another brand.

Thrive Market

Price:

• $36 between 160-80 diapers per box depending on size

We just previously finished a box of these and I definitely have some opinions.

Pros:

• Price per diaper is very affordable compared to other brands
• Extremely clean, no fragrance or blockers, no oils or lotions, no alcohols

Cons:

• Can only be purchased with a thrive membership
• tends to smell a lot more, where ever you throw the diaper away you can smell the pee.
• does leak a lot easier, we went to the zoo for 2 hours and by the time we were leaving and going to change him he had soaked through his pants.

Honest Company

Price:

• $28 for small box between 76-44 diapers per box depending on the size
• $50 for large box between 136-88 diapers per box depending on the size

We only used honest in the very beginning as it was gifted to us for our shower, I was extremely not impressed with them but I can see why some people love them.

Pros:

• Cute patterns, these diapers are truly adorable and have so many options.
• available in many stores and has a subscription option. These diapers are extremely easy to keep stocked up
• Softness, they fell incredible

Cons:

• LEAKS, this was like a constant. I know newborns pee a lot more and that was when I was using these but I could not stand it.

If I had to choose a favorite from all the clean diaper brands it would definitely be Hello Bello with Millie Moon coming in second. My least favorite is definitely Honest Company but Thrive and Pampers are really not much better.
