Bamboo Pajamas: Are They Really Worth The Hype?

I know we have all seen them everywhere, the bamboo pajamas that it seems like all kids are wearing now. When I first became a mom I thought there was no way I would ever spend $30+ on a set of pajamas but once I started seeing talks of how long they fit and the quality lasting so long I thought it was worth a shot. Today Im going to tell you my thoughts on some of the top brands we have probably all heard of.

Lets start with the brand I first came across, Little Sleepies

Little Sleepies

Little Sleepies sells a variety of bamboo products from hats and bibs to pajamas for newborns through adults and blankets. Spoiler alert, I absolutely love this company, but it may not be for everyone. Since we are talking strictly pajamas today, Little Sleepies typically run $34 a piece unless it is a Disney collaboration then you will be paying $38. If wash instructions are followed on these, they stay buttery soft and perfect. My 2 year old has been wearing the first set I bought him for over a year.

PROS:

  • Best priced out of the 3 brands mentioned today
  • Tons of color and print options ( although that may not be a pro for everyone )
  • They do offer some neutrals
  • Soft and stretchy
  • New drops weekly ( which could also hurt your wallet LOL )

Personally as a parent, I really like all the character and fun printed pajamas as I find it makes bedtime something to be more excited about. The Disney collections Little Sleepies has done have been absolutely adorable and I’m waiting and hoping for a Cars themed collaboration in the near future. I know some parents prefer to purchase neutrals for all kinds of different reasons and they do offer some of these options as well although not as much as other brands.

I also hugely appreciate the new drops weekly especially with how often these sell out.

CONS:

  • Thin and some can be see through
  • They do tend to sell out quickly if it’s a popular print.
  • Extra washing care and instructions

Although they are great quality, some of the prints can be see through so its something to keep in mind, wearing them at home it really doesn’t matter all that much but that thinness could lead to rips if they are heavily playing in them.

The extra washing care can sometimes be hard to remember and just an added inconvenience but it is needed to keep the quality good. That is something to consider when purchasing.

Caden Lane

Caden Lane offers a huge variety of products and bamboo pajamas just happens to be a part of that, but they truly do bamboo SO well. Like most bamboo pajamas, if washed and cared for well, these will last for the long haul. They do come with a middle of the road price tag at $36 a set but unlike Little Sleepies, they are thicker.

PROS:

  • Thick heavier material
  • Run a little bigger then typical for size so they last even longer
  • Tons of customizable options
  • Lots of neutrals with some more neutral pops of fun

For the more neutral mamas who still want the fun of prints like dinos or flowers Caden Lane has great options. They also offer tons of customizations which a lot of brands do not.

CONS:

  • Not a ton of boy options
  • New releases aren’t super common for the pajamas

I don’t have much negative to say about this brand, I love them but I do wish they added some more pajamas and boy options more often.

Posh Peanut

Now this brand is expensive, I cant lie to you guys, I’ve only purchased clearance items from them and I probably would not pay full price. These run between $40-$42 a piece, and all the other items sold like dresses and rompers are even more. They do offer some amazing collaborations like Hot Wheels and Barbie but I still don’t know that the steep price is worth it.

PROS:

  • Awesome collabs
  • Very thick, high quality material
  • Lots of different style and color options
  • Great clearance section

CONS:

  • High price tag

Thats it for today lovelies, Have you tried bamboo pajamas for your little ones yet? I like them so much I buy them for myself now too. I personally love all the brands I talked about today but Caden Lane and Little Sleepies are my top go to’s. What is your favorite bamboo brand? Drop a comment below of other brands I should try!
