Guide To Toddler Snacking: Snacks They Love With Out The Added Sugar

When my son was first born I never understood the importance of some good snacks, now that we are reaching peak toddlerhood I totally get it. Our littles love some snacks, but how can we give them things they will love with out loads of added sugar? Today I will share with you all the store bought and homemade toddler snacks that my little almost 2 year old LOVES.

Lets start with store bought goodies I have found. Finding store bought treats without sugar is actually really hard so check out these options.

Store Bought Snacks

  • Cerebelly: They make granola bars that are free from added sugars but also loaded with nutrients. With around 6 grams of natural sugar and a low sodium count, these are a great quick snack. We love to always have one of these in our bag on the go.
  • Lesser Evil Puffs: My son specifically loves the sweet potato flavor but these are all great. They don’t have a ton of health benefits, but they are quick and tasty. These are free from all sugars, low in sodium and do contain a tiny bit of saturated fat but only 1 gram.
  • Earths Best Puffs: They have so many options for these, we have the veggie, cheddar and peanut butter that my son loves. These are extremely tasty, even I like them. Zero sugar, real clean ingredients, and low sodium.
  • Earths Best PB&J Bites: Now these are also one of the best options from Earths Best. They come in Strawberry and Grape, my son loves both. Good clean ingredients.

Now let’s get into my personal favorite, homemade snacks. All of these are quick and easy to make, they can also be prepped ahead of time for ease.

Homemade Toddler Snacks

  • Oatmeal Bites: I talk about these as much as I can. You can pack these with fruits and veggies on top of the oatmeal being so healthy. I have a reel on my Instagram for a full recipe, I may start doin blog post recipes too if that is something you guys would be interested in.
  • Waffles: These are great for packing with fruits and veggies, I make these in bulk to have in the freezer. Our current favorite is banana with hidden greens, then we top the cooked ones with peanut butter.
  • Almond Flour Cookies: These are so quick and good. No need for sugar in these. Ill make sure to share this recipe in the future.
  • Granola Bars: Homemade granola bars can be so healthy, you can loud with chia, flax, hemp and of course oats.
  • Mini Muffins: I just posted a reel of our favorite muffin recipe. We love banana in our muffins too. Blueberry too.

Thats it for today guys! Thank you so much for being here, if you loved this one, check out my Toddler Meals articles here. I will have recipe blog posts for all of these in the near future!
