4 Nutrient Packed Smoothie Recipes Your Toddlers Will Love

Smoothie recipes for my toddler have quickly became a staple in our daily routine. As most mamas know, toddlers become extremely picky, it’s just in their nature.

Today I have our top 4 smoothie recipes that I give my son daily as a snack to boost nutrition that he thinks is a sweet treat.

Key Ingredients to Have:

First, here’s an idea of things I keep on hand to make his smoothies

  • Bananas
  • Milk of choice ( we use unsweetened almond )
  • Seeds ( we use ground flaxseed )
  • Natural Sweetener ( we use honey )
  • variety of frozen fruits
  • Greens ( we use spinach )
  • Serenity Kids Smoothie Pouches
  • Yogurt
  • Nut Butter ( we use Peanut )

If you are in a hurry and need something quick, the Serenity Kids smoothie pouches are such a good staple to have in your house. I keep ours in the fridge but you don’t have to they are shelf stable as well. These are packed with nutrition and come in a variety of flavors. With 5g of healthy fats, 5g of protein and hidden veggies these on their own could be a great snack but we also use them to mix in with our smoothies for added flavor. 10/10 recommend. Strawberry Banana

I think everyone has enjoyed a strawberry banana smoothie at one time, they are just always good but to sneak in some extra nutrition is key. You can add Spinach and flaxseed to this and even some yogurt to give you the added veggie, fat, protein and fiber.

Recipe:

  • 1 banana
  • hand full of frozen strawberries
  • 8 oz milk of choice
  • 1 tsp flaxseed
  • hand full of spinach
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup of yogurt of choice

Banana Nut Butter

This is almost like a dessert, its thick yet creamy like an ice cream. With this one I like to use peanut butter for added fat and protein. You can also add in flaxseed for fiber and just a little bit of honey to add to the sweetness. I do sometimes add some cinnamon too because my toddler loves it and cinnamon is actually an anti inflammatory.

Recipe:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp nut butter
  • 8 oz milk of choice
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp flaxseed

Optional* Spinach and or Yogurt

Pumpkin Spice

Who says pumpkin spice has to just be for fall? We enjoy it year round with this go to smoothie recipe. This is one of the recipes I love to add the Serenity Kids pouches into, the pumpkin spice pouch is a perfect addition with some added pumpkin spice seasoning or nutmeg.

Recipe:

  • 1 Serenity Kids Pouch
  • 1 tsp pumpkin spice
  • 8 oz milk of choice
  • 1 banana

Tropical

This is like summertime in a cup, I love to drink this one with him too. I add dates in this recipe as a sweetener which are also a superfood of nutrition. Pair that with some yogurt for your protein and fat, with loads of tropical fruit like pineapple, mango, strawberries, bananas and sometimes peaches.

Recipe:

  • 1 cup tropical frozen fruit blend
  • 8 oz milk of choice
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp flaxseed
  • 2 dates
  • 1/4 cup yogurt

Optional* Spinach

Thats it for today lovelies, my go to smoothie recipes! I hope you found a new recipe for your toddlers to enjoy and maybe you can enjoy with them.
